When I first drove onto 395 I thought, My God what's wrong with the transmission! The van has NEVER shifted the way it does now, so I thought something was wrong. I almost turned back and called you. But then I realized, it was shifting smoothly, and was just so quiet. So, I slowed down, speeded up, and realized it was shifting very smoothly, actually going thru two gears vs one "downshift, rev, upshift"....and doing so without revving hard and loud to kickout at 3000rpm as it always has done since day one. It has never run this quiet, nor has it ever shifted this smoothly.

From day one, on level roads, it would rev harder on acceleration into traffic and then shift out abruptly when it hit 3,000 rpms--even tho I was not "flooring it". I never remember a double shift up to 70mph from say 30-40mph merging, like it does now...thought I was driving somebody else's van, strange feeling after being so used to the way it used to run. Now, it goes through two seamless shifts vs one rev up and out, and gets up to speed just as quickly, but without the abrupt shifting into overdrive. At first I didn't think I was going to get up to speed since I didn't hear the downshift or the "usual" engine revving noise ..I almost thought it was stalling...but looked at speedometer and realized I was gaining speed very quickly.

I am shocked at the difference in driveability and how quiet and smooth she runs now. "

I would like to share a great story about one of your employees by the name of Doug the Roadside technician. On August 4, 2011 I received a call from one of our regular customers that was in Reno at that time and had an oil leak problem. Mr. Keller had mentioned he tried to get in touch with you, but was only able to speak with the cashier that informed him that it would be next Thursday before the vehicle would be diagnosed. At that time is when Mr. Keller reached out to me and advised me of his situation, I offered to help out in the matter and advised Mr. Keller that I would call Mercedes-Benz of Reno and speak with a supervisor. I contacted the service department and was transferred to Doug, I explained to Doug the situation that Mr. Keller had and without hesitation, Doug responded that he would contact the customer and arrange to go out to his home and inspect the vehicle not knowing how much oil has been lost. Doug had the best intentions in mind to consider the safety of the customer and the vehicle, I gave Doug the customers information and felt very confident that Doug was the right man for the job. Later that day I followed up with Doug and he advised me that the customer was taken care of, he found the cause of the leak was due to the drain plug copper seal had wrapped. Doug replaced the seal and cleaned the residual oil that had fallen on other parts of the vehicle and satisfied the need of the customer. Doug displayed an outstanding job and went Above and Beyond to help a customer in need, I hope this recognition gets to Doug and the appropriate management staff so they can be aware of what an asset Doug is to your organization.

"I have always been a Nissan/Lexus fan (primarily because the service department always took care of me and my car) and I finally bought an E350 from Mercedes last year based on what I heard from friends and family members who own one. I have had only one contact with the service department at Mercedes and his name is Frank Casey. At first, I was disappointed because I was new here and was worried that I was going to get treated like a number but I have to tell you, Mr. Casey makes me and my family want to continue buying EVERY CAR we buy from Mercedes Benz in Reno, Nevada. He makes me and my family members feel like VIP and gives us the experience we have come to expect from your commercials. When I come to pick up my car, Mr. Casey has my vehicle pulled up, clean, with a cold bottle of water, and the a/c on! Who does that? I feel like I purchased a million dollar service package! If all your service department staff is like Mr. Casey, I will continue doing business with your dealership and refer everyone I know to your dealership! Thank you from VERY SATISFIED customer!!!
